Xanadu began as a brick and mortar,
rock and roll store
carrying music and movie related merchandise, which has operated as such for 15+ years. In 2000 we expanded to the Internet with an online branch office, XANADUonline.com, was launched to compliment the store. Three years later, with the success of the online business, we closed the store to devote all of our energies to serving our Internet customers all across the U.S. and around the world.

Bruce Springsteen delivers a concert at Boston's Harvard Square Theater which inspires Rolling Stone editor/critic John Landau to write, "I have seen rock & roll's future and his name is Bruce Springsteen." He will eventually becomes Bruce's manager/producer. (1974)
